The unique Revuelto will allegedly debut at Pebble Beach in August.
Lamborghini will launch at least two new vehicles this year. We don’t expect the automaker to expand its lineup beyond its current trio, which means we will likely see several special-edition models, one of which might be a Miura homage.
According to The Supercar Blog, Lamborghini will unveil this new model at Pebble Beach in August. The publication doesn’t cite its sources, but reports that the automaker will base the Miura on the Revuelto and that it will be like the Aventador Miura Edition.
Lamborghini Revuelto
Lamborghini will reportedly produce only 60 examples of the car, likely to mark the Muira’s 60th anniversary. The car debuted at the 1966 Geneva Motor Show, and it represented a monumental shift in perception.
The new Miura homage could feature two-tone paint, like the Aventador version, and other exterior upgrades. Inside, Lamborghini will likely add some retro touches.
If the new special-edition Miraui is like the previous one, the car will likely feature the same powertrain as the Revuelto with zero modifications. The hypercar features a naturally aspirated 6.5-liter V12 hybrid engine, with three electric motors, producing a combined 1,001 horsepower.
Motor1’s Take: Lamborghini sales are doing just fine with three models, so the automaker doesn’t need to expand its lineup. Instead, it is focusing on the high-priced, limited-run models that enthusiasts will line up for in droves, and this new Miura is just the latest one.
