The new Kia PV7 is based on the E-GMP.S platform and debuts on September 14, 2026 at IAA Transportation in Hanover in the electric LCV segment
Kia has released the first teaser images of the PV7, the second model in the Korean brand’s all-electric PBV (Platform Beyond Vehicle) lineup. Its world debut is scheduled for September 14, 2026, at IAA Transportation in Hannover, Germany, the world’s leading trade show for commercial vehicles.
The PV7 slots into the light commercial vehicle segment and, according to Kia, offers more space and versatility than the seven-seat Kia PV5, the first model in the same family. The automaker says the goal is to cover a broader range of commercial and recreational uses.
The images show the PV7 in several everyday settings, from work to leisure, highlighting its adaptability to different lifestyles and professional needs. The body uses a “one-box” profile, with balanced proportions intended to give the vehicle a solid, purposeful stance.

The hood and pillar trim are finished in black, sharply contrasting with the body color: a design cue that complements the front and rear lighting signatures already seen on other Kia models. According to the company, these elements reinforce the distinctive visual identity of the PBV lineup.
The PV7 is built on the dedicated E-GMP.S platform, the same electric architecture that underpins the PV5. Kia describes it as the brand’s second dedicated PBV model after the PV5. Several PV5-based variants will also be shown in Hannover, including the Kia PV5 Crew Van and the fleet-focused Kia PV5 Chassis Cab.
The public debut is set for September 14, 2026, at IAA Transportation in Hannover. In addition to the PV7, Kia will bring a range of previously introduced PV5 variants to the show, including versions recently displayed at Kia commercial vehicles at Transpotec.
Kia PV7 teaser (2027) – The second model on the PBV platform
Kia describes the PV7 and its future derivatives as a pillar of its PBV strategy, which aims to gradually expand its electric mobility offerings for business customers. According to the automaker, the modular platform allows multiple body styles and configurations to be developed on the same technical foundation.
Kia’s PBV range sits alongside the brand’s other electric projects, such as the small Kia EV2 unveiled at the Brussels Motor Show. For now, however, the PV7 remains the only announced model specifically designed for the light commercial vehicle segment above the PV5 in size.
