The 2027 ProMaster City goes on sale early next year in cargo and passenger van configurations.

The 2027 Ram ProMaster City will go on sale early next year. It will start at $39,995, including the $2,595 destination charge, and Ram will offer it in 11 configurations, including a passenger van variant.

It is available in two trims—Tradesman and SLT. Buyers can choose from six window/panel combinations and two rear access options: a liftgate or doors. The sub-$40,000 price tag is for the entry-level ProMaster City Tradesman Cargo. The Tradesman Passenger Wagon costs $42,695.

Standard features on the Tradesman include a digital rearview mirror, a 10.0-inch digital instrument cluster, a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, one-touch up/down windows, and heated front seats. Upgrading to the SLT adds wireless phone charging, a heated steering wheel, 17-inch wheels, fog lamps, and more.

The ProMaster City SLT Cargo starts at $41,495. The passenger variant, which can seat five or eight people, costs $44,195. The 2027 ProMaster City will go on sale in the first quarter of 2027.

The 2027 Ram ProMaster City rides on Stellantis’ K0 global mid-size commercial van platform, which underpins European vans like the Citroën Dispatch and Opel Vivaro. The new Ram is identical to those, featuring a turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine making 166 horsepower and 221 pound-feet of torque.

Ram touts the van’s short stature, measuring just 77 inches tall. This allows the van to fit inside most parking structures, according to the automaker. Ram is targeting 2,000 pounds of towing capacity and over 2,000 pounds of payload capacity.

Motor1’s Take: The new Ram van has the price and versatility to appeal to business owners looking for an affordable work vehicle. It might not be an all-new vehicle exclusive to the American market, but it is a much better fit for our needs than the last ProMaster City, which was based on a Fiat and a bit too small.
