“It just keeps sliding through all of the screens.”

A woman says her new Chevy Tahoe screen started freaking out while she was driving. Now she’s asking for help.

In a TikTok series with over 13,000 views as of this writing, Grace (@thatboymom22) shows what is going on with her Chevy Tahoe screen and asks how to fix it.

“Okay TikTok, I need your help,” Grace begins.

While on a road trip, Grace and her husband noticed something off about their Tahoe infotainment screen. She reveals the vehicle is only two months old and is concerned to why her screen starts freaking out while driving.

“This is what the screen’s doing… It’s completely spazzing out and we’re not touching anything,” she says.

Their infotainment system is rapidly shuffling through all the different apps, from maps to music player to menu and to settings.

“It just keeps sliding through all of the screens. It’s only the main screen. The one above the steering wheel is fine, but this one’s just spazzing out and it’s getting worse,” she says.

Considering the 2026 Chevy Tahoe is only a few months old, she’s worried about this issue.

“Are we okay? And what should I do with it because we’re six and a half hours away from home,” she concludes.

Viewers in the comment section couldn’t resist the opportunity to throw jabs at Chevy.

“Get rid of that pos, buy a Toyota,” one wrote.

“You lost me at Chevy Tahoe,” another added.

Others offered some suggestions on how to fix the infotainment system.

“When you get to a safe place pull over, turn the car off and then turn it back on. It’s literally like a computer. It needs to be rebooted. If that doesn’t fix then I don’t know,” suggested one.

Another said semi-jokingly, “Every IT department in America here, have you tried turning it off and back on lmao.”

“Check for updates. Could need a programming,” someone else offered.

Another person offered more detailed instructions on a potential fix for the Tahoe’s infotainment screen.

“Actually most of you are wrong. Pull over and shut the vehicle off with the door open. Turn the auxiliary power on only then press and hold voice button on the steering wheel until the screen resets. Once that is done with the screen back on cycle the ignition twice with the door open. Your screen will reset and the glitch should be fixed,” one revealed.

Dealing with any technology issues can be a major headache especially when it comes from your vehicle. With newer vehicles, it has appeared more problems have been created with the addition of more screens. Modern cars have practically become mobile computers with an engine.

According to Gerry Raymond Chevrolet, there are five reasons a 2026 Chevy Tahoe may have a glitchy screen.

The first potential cause is a software glitch. This can happen when software is overloaded, outdated, or experiences a temporary bug.

You may be able to fix this with a soft reset. To do this, turn the vehicle off and leave it off for a minute before turning it back on. From here, the driver should see if there are any new software updates. Delete all old Bluetooth connections then disconnect and reconnect the current ones.

Bluetooth can factor into issues with an infotainment screen, as can CarPlay. If CarPlay, you can try the same sequence as with Bluetooth.

If these restarts don’t work, connect directly with a USB cable.

The third potential cause of infotainment screen problems is that the Chevy Tahoe may have power supply problems. Electrical issues can directly impact the infotainment system which can be caused by a weak battery, blown infotainment fuse, loose wiring, faulty grounding points or corroded battery terminals. If you suspect it’s an electrical problem, each of these parts should be inspected.

The fourth reason may be an issue with the digitizer which corresponds to the touch input. This digitizer can fail from delamination, normal wear and tear, or heat exposure.

Heat exposure is another reason a Chevy Tahoe screen can glitch. Environmental stress can create slow touchscreen response, flickering displays and temporary screen freezes. To avoid this, it’s best to park in the shade or use a windshield sunshade on hot days.

If that doesn’t fix the issue, you should take the vehicle to a mechanic.
