In challenging large-scale construction and infrastructure job sites, telehandlers are often used as material shuttles, transporting loads from delivery zones to work areas. Genie's new GTH-1544 is designed for this reality, enabling faster movement, reducing setup time, and improving workflow, resulting in measurable productivity gains over the course of a shift.
With a 15,000-pound lift capacity and 44-foot 7-inch lift height, the GTH-1544 is designed to deliver job site productivity over a full shift, not just a single lift. Genie's pick-and-carry telehandlers are engineered for mobility, enabling operators to transport materials quickly and complete more cycles per shift.
"For many job sites, especially large footprint projects, productivity comes from how efficiently materials move — not just how high they can be placed," said Kyle Holdridge, Genie Global product director for Telehandlers. "Whether you are unloading and transporting materials to laydown yards, staging materials for installation, or supporting job site cleanup, the GTH-1544 has the strongest lifting envelope in its class, along with an unrestricted drive envelope that keeps loads moving."
Operators benefit from higher usable capacity at full height and throughout the lifting envelope, and have the ability to make frequent lifts without stopping to reconfigure or set stabilizers. A cab that boasts 360-degree visibility enhances operator confidence and precision, while front and rear limited-slip differentials provide excellent traction across rough terrain.
A chassis with proportional frame levelling enables operators to pick and place loads on side slopes up to 10 degrees, expanding working capability in real-world conditions. A multi-functional single joystick delivers smooth load handling, and a redesigned gauge cluster is easier to read.
A full fork and carriage portfolio, along with a standard lifting shackle, provides flexibility for a wide range of material handling tasks. Optional features, including a back-up camera and Load Moment Indicator, further support safe, productive operation.
"Not all 10K, 12K, or 15K machines are created equal. Choosing the right configuration for the job can significantly improve efficiency, reduce unnecessary machine complexity, and increase overall productivity," said Holdridge.
