“Just know that he will always think about you.”
A woman goes to AutoZone for a diagnostic on her Dodge Ram truck. Then the worker assisting her couldn’t stop laughing at her setup.
TikTok creator Cindy (@cinibun10) posted a video about her experience over the weekend. “So I just went to AutoZone,” she says. “And as I’m walking the employee out to my car, we go outside, and we get to the truck, and he starts busting out laughing.”
Cindy continues, “He’s like—I’m telling you, bent over, grabbing his knees, laughing. He, like, collects himself. He’s like, ‘I’m sorry, I didn’t expect to see a small woman like you driving a big [expletive] truck like this.’”
When she opened the truck so the employee could plug in the diagnostic machine, he noticed the booster seat Cindy uses to see comfortably over the steering wheel and began laughing again.
“I don’t know what else to do but laugh with him,” she says. “I’m embarrassed. I don’t know what is happening. I’m glad I could make your day.”
“Y’all never seen a 5-foot woman driving a big truck?” she asks to end the video.
In the video’s comments section, viewers expressed intense interest in seeing both the truck and the booster seat Cindy uses to see over the steering wheel. “Truck and booster reveal, ASAP?” asked one person.
Cindy obliged the curiosity in a follow-up video. In the video, she steps out to her truck and opens the driver’s-side door. There’s a small cushion in the seat. “It’s just a regular truck and a cushion,” she wrote in the caption. “I’ve seen smaller women drive bigger.”
One person said, “Bruh, he made it sound like it’s hella lifted on 35-inch mud swampers.” Cindy replied, “That’s what I’m saying. He really made it sound like I was in a semi or something.”
“It’s a seat cushion for cars/office chairs,” said a second person. “I was legit looking for a giant orthopedic brick-looking thing from the way you described it.”
Another person wrote, “My sister has one of them. I was expecting an actual booster seat. My seat goes up and down to adjust the height. My dully had the pedals that adjusted.”
Cindy isn’t the only creator of short stature who finds a way to successfully operate a Dodge Ram. In fact, some of the Rams on display around TikTok are indeed lifted higher than Cindy’s. And, yes, one quick fix for this issue is the adjustable pedal feature, which is only available in certain models.
In a Reddit thread posted to r/ram_trucks last year, numerous Dodge Ram owners said their short friends or wives have no problem driving the truck. “You will need step bars,” suggested one person. “Other than that, no problem. I know women truck drivers about that height.”
A Girls Guide to Cars names the Ram as one of its favorites for shorter drivers and specifically names visibility as a pro.
